تشاكسني الألفاظ والمعاني فأعاني يا غربتي في المشاعر وتنهيدة القلوب وجراح وطني وغياب الأمان. تشاكسني الحروف وأنا المصلوب والمقهور والمغلوب والمظلوم وقلبي نور. تشاكسني عيناك فأحنّ إلى طفولتي ورمال البحر المتسخة في يدي وأنا أبني عليها قصورا.. تصير حروفنا رمالًا ويصير الجهل موجًا فتضيع كل الحكايات في عتمة روح أوطاني؛ فتشاكسني الجهالة والجمال.

كل نساء الشام فاتنات، والفتنة غواية وعشق الجمال غواية والزنا بعض من العشق.

وهل للزانية النار؟

والجنة اختيار وأسرار.

وللعشق أشعار.

ومازالت الشوارع ثكلى من الفرح تتعرّى بحب الدنيا. الدنيا راقصة جميلة رخيصة.

هل أنت زانية يا سهر؟

لا..! بل عاشقة لرجل آخر.
