السيد حافظ من مواليد الاسكندرية فى 1948 ولكل منا تاريخ ميلاده ومكانه دلالة استدل عليها من قراءتى لكل تجاربه المسرحية، وبوجه خاص المسرحيتين موضوع هذا الكتاب.. فأما عن التاريخ فأنت محفور بالدم والدموع فى السجل المعاصر للأمة العربية بحروف من ذل وعار وضياع فلسطين، وقيام اسرائيل تحقيقاً لوعد بلفور ولأحلام التلمود على أرضها.. وفى بياراتها، وعلى دماء شهدائها، وكانت جيوش العرب فى قلب المعركة..
وعندما أتم السيد حافظ عامه التاسع عشر أصابت الأمت العربية هزيمة أخرى مدوية، على يد الجيش الاسرائيلى، كخطوة على طريق الحلم الكبير.. من النيل إلى الفرات.. وكانت جيوش العرب فى قلب المعركة...
